Meet Sam, Neil and your fellow guests at 14:00 (2 PM) in Young Island Cut, St Vincent, and get settled on-board. The meeting point is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are unpacked we will have the guest briefing and then we highly recommend a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette where you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. Our first delicious dinner will be on Nemo.
After breakfast, we will sail around the south coast of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with its black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish and then head back to Nemo for a scrumptious dinner.
It is all about tacking practice on Nemo today (only if you want to get hands-on!). After breakfast, we will set sail for Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. This tiny island is a perfect spot for snorkelling and then lunch. After we will continue our tacking practice up to the jet-set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax onboard Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. Then enjoy an island tour followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s or we can even pop to Firefly for dinner…the choice is yours.
After a snorkel and breakfast, will set sail for Salt Whistle Bay or Saline Bay in Mayreau. This is a fun downwind sail past Canouan and we will probably get some gybing practice in too! Salt Whistle is picture-perfect. It is a wonderful palm tree-lined bay with heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. Saline Bay is likewise stunning. There are only about 250 inhabitants on Mayreau and most live in Saline Bay. Pop into town and see the many rum shops and the most amazing views from the top of the islands of Tobago Cays. Dinner will be served on Nemo.
We are off to paradise today – yippee! After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Once we arrive snorkelling in the turquoise waters and along the amazing horseshoe reef is a must. And hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. We can explore the local area in Dory the Dingy, the kayak and SUP or just relax in paradise. We will have a delicious beach BBQ with Willy and Bets from Union Island – you are in for a real treat 🙂
After a leisurely breakfast, we will set sail. Yes, we have more beautiful islands in store for you today. First, we will to the picture-perfect tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island (it takes 5 mins!) and swim in the warm pool-like waters. Then it will be a short hop to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close to Grenada as we will get to on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will pop back to Nemo for dinner.
After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Mr King on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening and a tasty evening meal on board Nemo. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner if you wish, then back to Nemo for dinner.
A longer sail today so plenty of time for getting some time on the helm and working the ropes! Our destination is beautiful Bequia, another one of our favourite anchorages. We will lunch underway and arrive in the afternoon. We will head ashore for cocktails and have our final dinner ashore at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as Macs.
We have done a lot of sailing, so it is time to sit back and relax on Nemo for the day. Take in the sights ashore or just chill, swim and snorkel. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. There are lots of snorkel spots just off the back of the boat or we can go further afield in Dory. Our final dinner will be on board Nemo.
Our last morning will see us sail back across the Bequia Channel to Young Island Cut in St Vincent. This is a really fun last sail! We will arrive in time for a 12:00 (12 PM) departure from the dock.
