Day | Schedule |
---|---|
th | Meet Sam and Neil and your fellow guests at 2 PM (14:00) at Young Island Cut in St Vincent, and get settled on sailing yacht Nemo. The dock is approximately 30 minutes from the airport. Once you are settled we will have the guest briefing after which we suggest a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette where you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. After that, you will deserve a cocktail which we can have at the top of the fort or at Young Island, and then we have our first delicious dinner on Nemo. |
th | After breakfast, we will sail downwind around the south of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in this beautiful bay with black volcanic sand. Once anchored you will get to meet some of the fabulous locals, perhaps buy some of the locally made jewellery from Smally, one of the boat boys, and then jump in for a swim. Ready for sundowners at sunset? Then lets head ashore to one of the beach bars. Afterwards, we will head back to Nemo for a scrumptious dinner. |
th | After yesterday’s downwind sailing it is all about tacking today! Yep, Captain Neil will work off that breakfast in no time as we set sail for Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. This lovely little island is a perfect spot for snorkelling and exploring. Then a quick lunch before we continue our sailing to Mustique. We will tie up to a mooring ball and then you can relax on Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. It’s entirely up to you. You could also pop ashore and do an island tour with one of the local tour drivers, and no day in the Caribbean would be complete if you didn’t have a cocktail! So we will head ashore for drinks and dinner at one of the three restaurants on the island, including the legendary Basil’s Bar. |
th | Today we will sail to Mayreau, giving you plenty of time to practice your helming skills if you so wish, or a chance to sit back and relax and take in the scenery! We will anchor in Saline Bay. There are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and most of them live here. Pop into town and see the many rum shops and the most amazing views from the top of the island to Tobago Cays before we head there tomorrow, then head over to Windward Bay and Ranch Escapade – where you will get the best cocktails ever! Dinner will be on board Nemo. |
th | We are off to paradise today – yippee! After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Once we arrive snorkelling in the turquoise waters and along the amazing horseshoe reef is a must. And hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. We can explore the local area in Dory the Dingy, the kayak and SUP or just relax in paradise. We will have a delicious beach BBQ with Willy and Bets from Union Island – you are in for a real treat. |
th | Yes, we are sailing to yet more beautiful islands today. First, we will stop at the tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island and swim in the warm waters. Then it will be a short sail to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close as we will get to Grenada on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will pop back to Nemo for dinner. |
th | Two shorter sails today. After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Jante on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening and a tasty evening meal on board Nemo. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner, then back to Nemo for dinner. |
th | This morning we will set sail for Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages. We will lunch underway and arrive in the afternoon. After the long sail, there is nothing better than diving into the heavenly waters here in Admiralty Bay or take the paddleboard out for a spin! There are some fabulous beaches to stroll along, and for those of you looking for a stunning beach bar – Jacks on Princess Margaret Beach is the spot for you. We will have our last dinner on Nemo tonight. |
th | After all the fun sailing days, we have a day of relaxation today in Bequia. This will give you plenty of time to explore ashore where you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. Or perhaps you want to make the most of the tropical waters. Just off the back of Nemo are some fabulous snorkel spots. We will head ashore for final dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as Macs. |
th | Our last morning will see us sail to the Fort Duvernette in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for a 12:00 (12 PM) departure from the dock. |
