Meet Sam and Neil at 2 PM (14:00) in Blue Lagoon Marina, in St Vincent, and get settled on sailing yacht Nemo. The marina is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are settled on Nemo, we will have the guest briefing; after which we will head around the corner to Young Island and the start of your holiday celebrations! If you have the energy, we would highly recommend a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette where you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. We can have sundowners ashore or on board followed by a scrumptious first dinner on Nemo, kicking off your holiday in style!
Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will sail around the south of St Vincent and med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with its black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish and then head back to Nemo for another delicious dinner.
This New Year’s Eve will see us sail to beautiful Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages and the place to be in the Grenadines at New Year! We will celebrate in style with a fabulous dinner and New Year’s Eve party ashore. We will arrive in Bequia in time for lunch. This is then followed by an afternoon of relaxation on Nemo or a chance to dive the fish-filled tropical waters. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. We will celebrate the new year coming in with a dinner onboard followed by lots of dancing and fireworks ashore ?.
Happy New Year and what a way to spend the first day of 2020! After breakfast, we will head to Mayreau where we have the choice of visiting two anchorages. Salt Whistle has a wonderful palm tree-lined bay with heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. Saline Bay is also stunning, there are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and they mostly live here. Pop into town, walk up the hill and be welcomed with the most amazing views out over Tobago Cays. As we wander back down the hill you can refresh yourself with a visit to one of the many, many rum shops! Dinner will be served on Nemo.
We are sailing to paradise today – yippee! After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the wonderful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Snorkelling in the turquoise waters is incredible, and hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. We can explore the local area in Dory the Dingy, or in the kayak and SUP and relax in paradise. This wonderful anchorage will be our home for the evening and a delicious BBQ dinner ashore with Bets and Willy.
After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Janti on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you so wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner, then back to Nemo for dinner.
After an early breakfast, we will set sail to the jet set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax on board Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. Then enjoy an island tour with Boom Boom followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s Bar or we can even pop to Firefly, the choice is yours.
After a dip into the lovely warm waters, our last morning will see us sail back to the Blue Lagoon Marina in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for an 11:00 (11 AM) departure from the marina.
