Trip 3 - Wednesday 30 December 2020 to Wednesday 6 January 2021
Are you wanting to celebrate the new year in style? How about bringing in 2021 with sand between your toes and with a rum cocktail in your hand! Here is an overview of our New Year Caribbean sailing holiday, which includes the 10 incredible islands in St Vincent & The Grenadines.
If you are travelling solo, as a couple or a small group you only need to book a cabin on this yacht charter, and you will still get hands-on sailing practice, incredible home-made food, celebrate New Years in paradise and make new friends!

Meet Sam and Neil at 2 PM (14:00) at Young Island Cut in St Vincent, and get settled on sailing yacht Nemo. The dock is approximately 30 minutes from Argyle International Airport. After the guest briefing, we will set sail straight away. Ge the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will sail around the south of the island and med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with its black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish and then head back to Nemo for a delicious dinner.
This New Year’s Eve will see us sail to beautiful Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages and the place to be in the Grenadines at New Year! We will arrive in Bequia in time for lunch. This is then followed by an afternoon of relaxation on Nemo and ashore or a chance to snorkel the fish-filled tropical waters. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. We will celebrate in style with a fabulous dinner on board Nemo followed by a New Year’s Eve party and fireworks ashore.
Happy New Year! And what a way to spend the first day of 2021! After a delicious breakfast, we will set sail for Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines giving you plenty of time to hone your sailing skills on Nemo. We will anchor in Chatham Bay for the afternoon and evening. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner if you wish, then back to Nemo for dinner.
Yes, we have more beautiful islands in store for you today. First, we will sail to the picture-perfect tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island (it takes 5 mins!) and swim in the warm pool-like waters. Then it will be a short hop to our anchorage in Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close to Grenada as we will get to on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will pop back to Nemo for dinner.
After a delicious breakfast, we will set sail to the wonderful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. This has been by far our previous guest’s favourite anchorage. We can use Dory the Dinghy to explore all the islands in the Cays and get out the kayak, paddleboard and water toys for some new year fun in the sun. The reefs here are amazing, so this is the perfect spot for some snorkelling. This wonderful anchorage will be our home for the evening and a delicious beach BBQ dinner ashore with Bets and Willy.
Today we will first sail to Clifton Harbour in Union Island, giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Janti on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail to Mayreau where we have the choice of visiting two anchorages. Salt Whistle has a wonderful palm tree-lined bay with heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. Saline Bay is also stunning, there are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and they mostly live here. Pop into town, walk up the hill and be welcomed with the most amazing views out over Tobago Cays. As we wander back down the hill you can refresh yourself with a visit to one of the many many rum shops! Dinner will be served on Nemo
After breakfast, we will set sail to the jet-set island of Mustique giving you plenty of time to practice your sailing skills. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax onboard Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. Then enjoy an island tour followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s or we can even pop to Patrick’s at Firefly if you wish.
Our last morning will see us sail back to Young Island in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for a 12:00 (12 PM) departure from the dock.
