Meet Sam and Neil at 14:00 (2 PM) in Blue Lagoon Marina, in St Vincent, and get settled onboard sailing yacht Nemo. The marina is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are settled we will have the guest briefing; after which we will head around the corner to Young Island, our first mooring and the start of your holiday! If you have the energy, we would highly recommend a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette where you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. Our first delicious dinner under the stars will be on Nemo.
After a relaxing breakfast, we will sail downwind around the south coast of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you like and then head back to Nemo for a scrumptious dinner.
Today we will sail to beautiful Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages. Before we leave, Neil will show you around Nemo and will then explain which line to pull when as we set sail. We will arrive in Bequia in time for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation on Nemo and ashore. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. We will also head ashore for cocktails and have dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as the Fig Tree.
It is all about tacking today! After breakfast, we will set sail fo Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. This tiny island is a perfect spot for snorkelling and then lunch. After we will continue our tacking practice up to the jet set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax on board Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddle board. Then enjoy an island tour with Boom Boom followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s or we can even head to dinner at Firefly…the choice is yours.
After breakfast, we will head to Salt Whistle Bay in Mayreau. This slightly longer sail will give you plenty of time to practice your helming skills! This is a wonderful palm tree lined bay. Enjoy a walk along the sandy beach and visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. We will have dinner on board.
After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Snorkelling in the turquoise waters is incredible, and hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles, as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. For dinner, we will head to the beach for a local BBQ. Willy one of the local boat boys together with his cook, Bets, will create a delicious dinner for us.
After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will take a mooring in Clifton Harbour for lunch. After which you can snorkel off the back of the yacht around the stunning reef. We can also head to see Mr King on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail! Then we will sail around to the stunning Chatham Bay for the evening and a tasty evening meal on board Nemo. This is a great bay for snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. There are some great beach bars (like Vanessa’s).
Today we will move into Grenadian waters and our first stop will be Sandy Island! This sandy bar is a great place for a snorkel and for taking pictures of yourself on a deserted island! We will then have another short sail to Tyrell Bay in Carriacou, which is where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing and having fun.
Our last full day will be an all-day sail back to Grenada. On the way, we will stop at Ronde Island. Only inhabited by a few fishermen, this remote island is a perfect lunch stop and a great place to jump in for a snorkel. After lunch, we will then sail back down the west coast of Grenada, a truly luscious green island that provides a hint of spice in the wind as we sail past. Our anchorage will be Molinere. This is an incredible underwater sculpture park and a great place to snorkel. After we will have a delicious final dinner on board Nemo.
After a last dip into the lovely warm waters, we will set sail to Port Louis Marina, Grenada. We will arrive in time for a noon (12 PM) departure from the marina.
