Christmas Sailing Holiday in St Vincent & The Grenadines
Trip 2 - Saturday 19 December to Sunday 27 December 2020
This is an outline of our Christmas sailing holiday extravaganza which sees us island-hopping around St Vincent & The Grenadines. We will visit Cumberland Bay in St Vincent, Petit Nevis, Mustique, Mayreau, Union Island, Petit St Vincent, Tobago Cays and Bequia! Wow, is there any better way to spend Christmas than island hopping in paradise? We don’t think so! If you are travelling solo, as a couple or small group come and join us on an unforgettable Christmas cabin charter, get hands-on sailing experience and have a great time sailing around the Caribbean.
Changes may take place due to guest requests and weather conditions.

Meet Sam and Neil at 14:00 (2 PM) at Young Island Cut in St Vincent, and get settled on-board sailing yacht, Nemo. The dock is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are settled we will have the guest briefing; after which we will head around the south coast of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with its black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish, and then head back to Nemo for a scrumptious first dinner on board Nemo and kick off your Christmas sailing holiday in style!
It is all about tacking practice today if you want to get hands-on, otherwise, sit back, relax and take it all in. After breakfast, we will set sail for Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. This tiny island is a perfect spot for snorkelling and then lunch. After we will continue to the jet-set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax onboard Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s or we can even pop to Firefly.
After breakfast, we will head to Salt Whistle Bay or Saline Bay in Mayreau. Salt Whistle is picture-perfect. It is a wonderful palm tree-lined bay with heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. Saline Bay is also stunning, there are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and most live in Saline Bay. Pop into town and see the many rum shops and the most amazing views from the top of the island of Tobago Cays. Dinner will be served on Nemo
Yes, we have more beautiful islands in store for you today. First, we will to the picture-perfect tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island (it takes 5 mins!) and swim in the warm pool-like waters. Then it will be a short hop to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close to Grenada as we will get to on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will pop back to Nemo for dinner.
After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Janti on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner if you wish, then back to Nemo for dinner.
After a relaxing morning and an early lunch, we will have a couple of hours of tacking practise to the stunning Tobago Cays. The perfect way to spend Christmas Eve! Once you arrive, dive straight in for a dip and a snorkel. A highlight of the trip will hopefully be swimming with Hawksbill Turtles. For dinner, we will head to the beach for a lobster BBQ. Willy one of the local boat boys together with his fabulous cook Bets will create a delicious dinner for us under the stars and with sand between our toes!
Woohoo, Christmas in paradise! We will stay in the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. This has been by far our previous guest’s favourite anchorage. We can use Dory the Dinghy to explore all the islands in the Cays and get out the kayak, paddleboard and water toys for some Christmas fun in the water. The reefs here are amazing, so this is the perfect spot for some snorkelling. This wonderful anchorage will be our home for a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
We will have an all-day sail to Bequia, so plenty of time for some hands-on sailing experience. Bequia is one of the most beautiful islands in the Grenadines. We will arrive in the afternoon, giving you time to snorkel off the beautiful Princess Margaret Beach. Along the beach, there are lots of fabulous bars and there is also Bar One, Bequia’s floating bar, which we can try for Christmas cocktails and then we will have dinner at one of the many restaurants ashore.
Our last morning will see us sail to Young Island Cut in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for a 12:00 (noon) departure from the dock.
