Day | Schedule |
---|---|
th | Meet Sam and Neil at 14:00 (2 PM) in Blue Lagoon Marina, in St Vincent, and get settled onboard Sailing Yacht Nemo. The marina is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are settled we will have the guest briefing; after which we will head around the south coast of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with its black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish, and then head back to Nemo for a scrumptious first dinner on board Nemo and kick off the holiday in style! |
st | It is all about tacking practice today (only if you want to get hands-on!). After breakfast, we will set sail for Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. This tiny island is a perfect spot for snorkelling and then lunch. After we will continue our tacking practice up to the jet set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can relax on board Nemo or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. Then enjoy an island tour followed by cocktails ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s or we can even pop to Firefly and then dinner back on Nemo. |
nd | After breakfast, we will head to Salt Whistle Bay or Saline Bay in Mayreau. Salt Whistle is picture perfect. It is a wonderful palm tree-lined bay with heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers. Saline Bay is also stunning, there are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and most live in Saline Bay. Pop into town and see the many rum shops and the most amazing views from the top of the island of Tobago Cays. Dinner will be served on Nemo. |
rd | Yes, we have more beautiful islands in store for you today. First, we will sail to the picture perfect tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island (it takes 5 mins!) and swim in the warm pool like waters. Then it will be a short hop to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close to Grenada as we will get to on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then our dinner this evening will be served on board Nemo. |
th | After a morning dip and Christmas Eve breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Janti on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner if you wish, then back to Nemo for dinner. |
th | There is nothing like waking up at Christmas on a boat in the Caribbean! After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the stunning Tobago Cays. This has been by far our previous guest’s favourite anchorage. We can use Dory the Dinghy to explore all the islands in the Cays and get out the kayak, paddleboard and water toys for some Christmas fun in the water. The reefs here are amazing, so this is the perfect spot for some Christmas snorkelling. This wonderful anchorage will be our home for a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. |
th | Boxing Day will see us take a longer sail as we head for Bequia, another one of our favourite anchorages. We will lunch underway and arrive in the afternoon. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. We will head ashore for cocktails and have our final dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as The Fig Tree or Macs. |
th | Our last morning will see us sail back to the Blue Lagoon Marina in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for an 11:00 (11 AM) departure from the marina. |
