Caribbean Yacht Charter Around Grenada & The Grenadines

    10-Day Sample Sailing Itinerary

This is a 10-day sample sailing itinerary for a Caribbean Yacht Charter around the beautiful islands in Grenada and St Vincent & The Grenadines

Please note that this sailing itinerary is only available for whole crewed yacht charters in 2021-2022. Click the ‘Yachts’ Tab to see which yachts are available for a sailing holiday in these Windward Islands.

Then get in touch and we can discuss your trip preferences during the personalised BlueFoot Travel booking process, during which we will also partner with the yacht crew to work on the best sailing holiday experience for you.

Please note that all Caribbean crewed charter sailing schedules may change due to government travel advisories and restrictions, your requests and weather conditions.

    Day Schedule
    1

Meet your crew in Port Louis Marina in Grenada. The airport is approximately 25 minutes away in a taxi. Once you are settled on board your stunning yacht your crew will provide a guest briefing and then head out straight out to anchor! Your first stop will be Molinere. This is an incredible underwater sculpture park and a great place to snorkel and work up an appetite for your first delicious dinner. Kick off your sailing holiday in style!

    2

Set sail up the west coast of Grenada. Grenada really is a luscious green island and you will smell a hint of spice in the wind as we head north. Ask your crew if you can have a go at helming or if sit back and relax and take in the sights. The destination for the evening will be Tyrell Bay in Carriacou. A lovely little island, with rum shops, dotted all along the beach and an anchorage that provides stunning sunsets. Once you have had a chance to relax either enjoy another delicious dinner on board or we suggest a dinner ashore at Slipway.

    3

After breakfast, you are off to Union Island in the Grenadines for lunch. Don’t miss the chance to head ashore to the lovely village of Clifton or perhaps you want to visit Jante on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon cocktail! After lunch, enjoy an hour sail to the beautiful Chatham Bay. This Bay is heavenly and it is really great for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are also some great local bars to visit like Vanessa’s and Seckies bar before dinner on board.

    4

After an earlyish breakfast, you will have an all-day sail to Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages. Lots of time for you to try your hand on the helm, perhaps trawl the fishing line and catch some dinner or relax as you take in the sights. Bequia is one of the most beautiful islands in the Grenadines and there is a lot to explore, so we suggest spending two nights here. Once you arrive you can relax onboard, visit one of the many beautiful beaches or head to Bar One, the floating bar for a really amazing cocktail before an equally delicious dinner prepared by your chef on board.

    5

Today is a day of leisure. Relax, read your favourite book as you soak up the sun or one of the local beaches. There is lots of snorkelling in the area or why not try a dive and get to see fish-filled tropical waters with Dive Bequia? Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. We suggest heading ashore for cocktails and have dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants.

    6

After breakfast, we will sail to Salt Whistle Bay in Mayreau. This slightly longer sail will give you more time to practice your helming skills if you so wish, or a chance to sit back and relax and take in the stunning scenery! Salt Whistle is a wonderful palm tree-lined bay. Enjoy a snorkel or walk along the sandy beach, head out on the kayak, visit some of the local stalls or head across to the next bay and watch the kite surfers.

    7

Today you will spend the day in paradise – yippee! After a tasty breakfast, set off to the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Snorkelling in the turquoise waters is incredible, and hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. Explore the local area in our tender with the crew, the kayak or the SUPs and relax in paradise. For dinner, we will highly recommend a beach BBQ. It is an experience not to be missed.

    8

After the open waters of Tobago Cays, it is time to explore tiny islands and sandbanks. After breakfast, set sail into Union Island to clear out of St Vincent and then head to Mopion, a tiny sandbank for lunch. Afterwards, your crew will take a mooring ball at Sandy Island in Grenadian waters where you can have dinner. This sandy bar is a great place for a snorkel and for taking pictures on a deserted island!

    9

Your last full day will be an all-day sail back to Grenada. If there is time, a stop at Ronde Island is well worth it. Only inhabited by a few fishermen, this remote island is a perfect lunch stop and a great place to jump in for a snorkel. After lunch, continue your sail back down the coast of Grenada and anchor in Halifax or Grand Anse for the evening and our your last dinner on board.

    10

Take the last swim in the beautiful waters in and around Grand Anse. You will will be back in Port Louis Marina ready for a noon departure to the airport or your hotel.
