Meet Sam and Neil at 14:00 (2 PM) at the Young Island dock on St Vincent, and get settled onboard sailing yacht Nemo. The dock is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. Once you are settled we will have the guest briefing; after which we would highly recommend a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette where you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. Our first delicious dinner will be on Nemo.
Our first sail will see us head for Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages. Before we leave, Neil will show you around Nemo and will then explain which line to pull when as we set sail. We will arrive in Bequia in time for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. There are also some wonderful snorkel spots you mustn’t miss out on. We will head ashore for cocktails and have dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as Macs.
After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. Our anchorage for the night will be Chatham Bay. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner as well, then back to Nemo for dinner.
Yes, we have more beautiful islands in store for you today. First, we will sail to the picture-perfect tiny Mopion Island. Walk around the island (it takes 5 mins!) and swim in the warm pool-like waters. Then it will be a short hop to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close to Grenada as we will get to on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will head back to Nemo for dinner.
We are off to paradise today – the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. This has been by far our previous guest’s favourite anchorage. Snorkelling in the turquoise waters and along the amazing horseshoe reef is a must, and hopefully, you will swim with Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. We will arrive in time for lunch and then we can explore the area in Dory the Dingy, the kayak and SUP or just relax on Nemo. We will have a delicious beach BBQ prepared by Willy and Bets from Union Island tonight – you are in for a treat!
After breakfast we set sail for Clifton Harbour on Union Island, giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. Then we will head to Mayreau where we have two anchorage options. Salt Whistle is picture-perfect as it is a wonderful palm tree-lined bay and has heavenly white sand and turquoise waters. There is also Saline Bay, which also has a stunning beach. We love to head ashore here walk up the hill where you get the most amazing views from the top of the island of Tobago Cays. We also like to wander over to Windward bay, one of the best spots for a cocktail before dinner is served back on Nemo.
After breakfast, we will set sail to the south coast of St Vincent. There will be lots of helming opportunities today as this is one of our longer sail days. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm or simply take in the stunning scenery. Our anchorage will be Cumberland Bay where we will med-moor. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you so wish and then head back to Nemo for a scrumptious dinner.
We will have an early start today as this will be our longest sail day and an adventure for sure! We will leave behind St Vincent and sail to the stunning island of St Lucia. Our mooring for the evening will below the iconic Pitons in Soufriere, in the south of St Lucia. Dinner will be on board Nemo.
This morning we will sail to Marigot Bay, our favourite anchorage in St Lucia. Here you will get the chance to swim off the back of the boat in one of the most beautiful anchorages in the Caribbean or we can head ashore to enjoy the delights of the Capella Marina Hotel pool with its huge swim-up-bar. We will stay here for the evening and enjoy dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants in the Bay.
Our final sail will be up to Rodney Bay at the North of St Lucia. We will arrive for a noon departure from Rodney Bay marina which is approximately 90 minutes from St Lucia’s International Airport.
