Day | Schedule |
---|---|
28th | Meet Sam and Neil at 14:00 (2 PM) at Young Island Cut in St Vincent, and get settled on sailing yacht Nemo. The dock is approximately 25 minutes from Argyle International Airport. We will head over to Nemo in Dory the Dinghy and once you are settled and we have had the guest briefing, we highly recommend a walk up 200+ steps on Fort Duvernette. Here you will get to see stunning views of the south of St Vincent and Bequia, and it is a good way to stretch your legs after a longish flight. We will return to Nemo for our first delicious dinner on board. |
29th | After a relaxing breakfast, we will sail downwind around the south coast of St Vincent. Get the feel of Nemo on the helm if you like or simply take in the stunning scenery. We will med-moor in beautiful Cumberland Bay, with black volcanic sand. Take a swim in the fresh fish-filled waters, head out to explore in the kayak or on the SUPs and then get ready for a spectacular sunset. We can head ashore to one of the beach bars for a sundowner if you like and then head back to Nemo for a tasty dinner. |
30th | After yesterday’s downwind sailing, it is all about tacking today! After breakfast, we will set sail for Petit Nevis, just south of Bequia. The water here is perfect for some helming practice as it is surrounded by small islands and Petit Nevis is a perfect spot for snorkelling and then lunch before we continue our tacking practice up to the jet-set island of Mustique. Once we have grabbed a mooring ball you can sit back and relax on the yacht or play with the snorkels, kayak and paddleboard. Or enjoy an island tour with Boom Boom followed by cocktails and dinner ashore at the newly remodelled Basil’s Bar. |
31st | Today we will sail to Mayreau. This slightly longer sail will give you plenty of time to practice your helming skills if you so wish, or a chance to sit back and relax and take in the scenery! Our anchorage will be Saline Bay. There are only about 250 inhabitants on this Island and most of them live in Saline Bay. Pop into town and see the many rum shops and the most amazing views from the top of the island to Tobago Cays before we head there tomorrow, then head over to Windward Bay and Ranch Escapade – where you will get the best cocktails ever! Dinner will be on board Nemo. |
1st | We are off to paradise today – yippee! After a delicious breakfast, we will set off to the beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Park. Once we arrive snorkelling in the turquoise waters and along the amazing horseshoe reef is a must. And hopefully, you will swim with Rays and Hawksbill Turtles as they munch on the seagrass in the anchorage. We can explore the local area in Dory the Dingy, the kayak and SUP or just relax in paradise. We will have a delicious beach BBQ with Willy and Bets from Union Island. |
2nd | Yes, we are sailing to yet more beautiful islands today. First, we will stop at the picture-perfect Mopion Island. Walk around the island and swim in the warm pool-like waters. Then it will be a short hop to Petit St Vincent. This private island is as close as we will get to Grenada on this sailing trip. Head ashore to enjoy some seriously fabulous cocktails at Goatie’s and then we will pop back to Nemo for dinner. |
3rd | After a morning dip and breakfast, we will sail to Union Island, the capital of The Grenadines. We will anchor in Clifton Harbour for lunch giving you a chance to wander around this very picturesque town. We can also head to see Jante on Happy Island and partake in a cheeky afternoon rum cocktail if you wish! Then we will sail around to Chatham Bay for the evening and a tasty evening meal on board Nemo. This is another one of our favourite bays for snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are some great beach bars like Vanessa’s we can pop to for a sundowner, then back to Nemo for dinner. |
4th | This morning we will set sail for Bequia, one of our favourite anchorages. We will lunch underway and arrive in the afternoon. After the long sail, there is nothing better than diving into the heavenly waters here in Admiralty Bay or take the paddleboard out for a spin! There are some fabulous beaches to stroll along, and for those of you looking for a floating bar – you are in the right spot! Bar One is the perfect venue for a sundowner before we head back to Nemo for our last dinner on board. |
5th | After all the days of sailing, we have a day of relaxation in store for you today. We will be staying in Bequia for the day, giving you plenty of time to explore ashore and underwater. Ashore you will find a wonderful boardwalk to wander along, a relaxed town with stalls you can visit and incredibly friendly locals. Just off the back of Nemo there are some fab snorkel spots, or perhaps you want to go diving, we can also organise that for you with Dive Bequia. We will head ashore for cocktails and have our final dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants, such as Macs. |
6th | Our last morning will see us sail back to Fort Duvernette in St Vincent. We will arrive in time for a 12:00 (12 PM) departure from the Young Island dock. |
