When it comes to weather, the Caribbean is renowned for having arguably the most desirable climate on the planet, with temperatures a gorgeous 24-29°C / mid 70s-80s°F year round. It’s never cold, never roasting, and rain falls to a fairly predictable rhythm – keeping the tropical islands lush and leafy. Wind speeds usually range from 15-20 knots, with occasional squalls where it might get higher.
The best time to visit the Caribbean is generally considered to be November to June, when it’s slightly cooler, drier and less humid. May to November can be wetter, and hurricanes are possible from July to October, but September and October are usually when the majority of tropical waves and hurricanes take place.
Sailing is highly dependent on weather conditions, which is why all the sailing trips have suggested itineraries. Your crew will only set sail if the weather is suitable to do so. If you happen to encounter bad weather during a yacht charter, which is extremely unlikely, your crew will decide if it is safe for you and the yacht to continue as planned or follow an alternative itinerary.
